I fel sometimes as like Ophelia after Hamlet´s death. I feel all alone as if I were in a non-creative kingdom.
I love European landscapes because they look like they have been put in order by man, by thousands of anonymus people throughout the centuries. The European culture and being able to speak a language well is something similar to one another.
The enormous American meadows mirror the immensity but they have not been used by man. American landscapes mirror the mentality of the American people, as well as the wish of impressing and the spectacle itself. The European mentality represents the unity between a methodical knowledge and tradition.
One speaks of the Canary Islands as if the Canary Islands were important but when someone sees
the map of the Canary Islands you understand that it is better not to say anything about it.
The memories one can keep of the Canary Islands, can only be vivit and important in the imagination of the person who recalls them.
One thing that makes the Canary Islands different is that many good cultural projects fall through or the fact that people think very much the same. For example,in Ancient Greece despite there are being many brilliant philosophies schools, neither of them suceeded in imposing to the rest.
The Canaries despite having a massive German, English and Scandinavian tourism, have not managed to create such artistic and brilliant works. There are no important cultural areas which they create or transmit culture.
We live aside the magic of the European creation.
If one speaks good English, one can get to know about the interests of the European culture.
I wonder deeply upset when I will be able to speak English enough well to read in this language or when I will be able to join a good cultural group.
